www.centrebet.com.au – As per usual, controversy has again flared up with Australian Cricket after Daniel Vettori openly labelled Australian wicket keeper Brad Haddin a cheat.

Slow motion replays show that Brad Haddin’s right glove, not the ball itself, removed the bails, prompting the dismissal of Batsman Neil Broom and breaking a vital partnership between he and Ross Taylor who was the eventual top scorer.

Vettori stated that it was clearly a deliberate act and that Haddin had blatantly cheated, appealing when he knew full well the ball had not made direct contact with the stumps.

Vettori is usually the last person to wade into a controversy but the New Zealand captain has one win under his belt and may have decided it’s no more Mr Nice Guy.

The Australian one day side looked very flat against the Kiwis in the first one dayer as a result of their demoralising four – one defeat at the hands of the South Africans.

It is quite possible that the Black Cap’s skipper senses an air of vulnerability around the Australian squad at the moment and has decided to try and make things even worse for the Australian.

In fact he was criticized during the two test series last year for not being spiteful enough towards the Australians in press conference and that it instilled a lack of confidence in his players.

This was clearly not the case on Sunday as a rather spritely New Zealand bowling attack dismissed Australia cheaply before struggling with the bat to post a three run victory of the very last ball of the match. Centrebet.com.au
