South Africa v New Zealand Tri Nation’s series
With the sporting world being glued to their TV sets watching all the events unfold in Beijing At the Olympics there has also been world class rugby union taking place in the round robin series between the big 3 Southern Hemisphere Rugby Union nations New Zealand All Blacks, Australia and the world champions South Africa.
Last week’s game between the Springboks and All Blacks was one the home side could not afford to lose if they were still to have a chance of finishing top of the Tri Nation’s table but it proved to be the first game in which they failed to score on home soil which in turn has turned the pressure cooker up on coach De Villiers future in the job which many already think he is not cut out to do.
Last week’s 19-0 victory for the All Blacks at Cape town will go down as one of the darkest days in South African Rugby Union history with a packed stadium all wanting to see their heroes put one over on the opposition but were left humiliated after Dan Carter and co showed their superiority all throughout the pitch to claim the points and barring a miracle the Tri Nations championship.
